Delicate Arch May 4, 2011 Arches National Park

With the Fiery Furnace under my belt, I was ready to take on this place and discover more wild places on my own.  After a quick bite to eat, I lightly geared up (except for water, that was heavy) and went in search of the famous Delicate Arch.  I knew it had to be spectacular from the size of the migration returning from it!
After a couple of kilometers of hiking this mostly slickrock trail, there was still no sign of anything that looked arch-like.
I hiked the narrow ledge around a big sandstone formation, then what to my wandering eyes did appear!
Delicate Arch!  WOW!
I had to take a moment and process what I was seeing!
Then it was my turn to have a one-on-one with Delicate Arch!
On the return portion of the hike, I found a window to look through which gave me another view of the famous Arch.
Look closely or click on the google map.  It even shows Delicate Arch!
